They just called. I mistook the voice for someone I know, asked if it was, and they pretended to be that person until I looked at the caller I.D... confronted them and they hung up. A real POS as the conversation was about my mother's ill health.

This phone number belongs to ThermoSpa. I am experiencing the same thing, but I have not been successful in getting them to leave me alone.

I bought this pay-per-use phone end of July, and since August, I get at least one call a day, sometimes its a computer voice, sometimes a human asking for Roberto.

calls my work and my home claiming he is sending apolice officer to my work and to my home. sometimes he claims he is the police and he is coming to get me. tells me that only god can help me now.

VERY VERY STRONG ACCENT SPOKE TO QUICK TO UNDERSTAND - TOLD ME I WAS BEING REWARDED WITH 100 GIFT CARD TO USE IN ANY STORE BECAUSE I USE MY VISA OR MASTER CARD SO OFTEN. SAID THEY GIVE GIFT CARDS AFTER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF POINTS EARNED ON VARIOUS SHOPPING TRIPS THRU THE YEAR. HE VERIFIED MY NAME AND MY ADDRESS... ASKED FOR MY card ID number on the back. I SAID NO. HE STATED HE HAD THE NUMBER BUT NEEDED TO VERIFY IT WAS A VALID CARD AND TOLD HIM to cancel my package as I did not have the card with me. HE KEPT SAYING THE CALL WAS RECORDED FOR MY PROTECTION. AFTER HANGING UP, he called me back saying the call was cut off. He has called again but I am not answering again. I GOOGLED to check the number. This is what I found. I gave him no infoAND REPEATED I AGREED TO NOTHING. Dont know which card he is talking about so I cant close the account.

This number is from Education Bridge, a telemarketing company that helps bridge people with schools and online schooling. They claimed I had requested information ... which was untrue. I asked them to remove my number from their files, and noted that I had reported them to the government "Do Not Call" complaint center.

They called my home phone number even though we are on the Federal DNC list. The phone rang three times but when I picked up, they hung up. Our phone company (Optimum/Cablevision) listed the origination of the call as "Dial It, NJ" -- yeah, seems like spoofing by telemarketers using random dialers and surpressing after the fact against the DNC.

I know ppl would hate to have to change their number but that's what I'm thinking about doing because this is ridiculous.

Some time of offer to lower credit card interest rates.

Recording stating that due to my excellent credit and payment history I'm eligible for rate reduction on my credit cards, but they do not mention my credit card company. I get calls from this number at least 4 or 5 times a week and have been on the do not call registry for some time. If you press 1 to speak to a rep. a person comes on asking for your credit card information. I've tried twice to tell them to stop calling, and have reported the number to the Do Not Call registry.
